Master thesis

Romans de fantasy pour la jeunesse dans le second degré et construction identitaire des adolescents

Abstract : Carried out as part of the second year of the Library Science MEEF master’s degree offered by the Université Jean Moulin Lyon 3 and the INSPÉ of Lyon, this research paper asks the following question : how does the establishment of educational activities about youth fantasy novels enable teacher librarians to support the teenagers’ identity building ? Firtsly, a state of the art allows to explore how the features of youth fantasy literature can support the process of teenagers’ identity building. Secondly, two surveys conducted among teacher librarians and teachers of school disciplines question their professional practices about this literary genre, and lead to formulate educational suggestions in order to leverage fantasy in school.
