Les langages documentaires au service de la valorisation des collections muséales : quels enjeux ? Le cas du musée Rodin

Abstract : The purpose of this thesis is to demonstrate, based on the example of the "musée Rodin", how museums can, at the present time, use documentary languages and benefit from their evolution in the framework of the linked data in order to describe objects, to enrich and share data and knowledge, and to gain in value their collections. This work is essentially about the promotion of the museum's collections but to a larger extent, the promotion of the cultural data and the role and the use of documentary languages. We give at the same time elements of comprehension on collections, on documentary languages and on linked data. Our approach is based on the needs and the proper difficulties of the "musée Rodin". Finally we show how the documentary management of this very specific collection, as for the whole museum's collections, can and must respond to these needs and to these difficulties, by answering to the challenges museums must currently face during linked data.
