L'incidence de l'objet documentaire sur l'identité professionnelle. Le cas des agents des grands musées nationaux chargés de la documentation scientifique des collections.

Abstract : Under the combined effects of the evolution of communication and information technologies, and the rationalization of the organizations, the identity of the professionals of information and documentation becomes a recurring question, particularly in the museums. Based on a survey and on interviews with the staff in care of the scientific documentation of collection in French national museums, this dissertation aims to prove the influence of the nature of the document on the professional identity when this document is also a museum object. The skills, the self-image, the acknowledgement of the other actors involved as well as the recognition of a professional status are in the heart of an issue which makes more complex the deep changes which have been taking place in the museums world for the last 30 years. To help those scientific documentalists build their identity by stimulating the personal commitment of the individual and by involving collectively working party in the whole company project is an answer to the new stakes meant by the scientific documentation in the museums world.
