Le rôle des réseaux sociaux dans la création et la recherche d'information sur internet

Abstract : New means of publication and interaction have appeared on the web : blogs, wikis, social bookmarking... They have spread very quickly thanks to their easy use which encourages the collaboration and the creation of social networks. Besides the publication of contents, netsurfers add their own metadata, tags or labels which they share between them in a process called "folksonomy", a contraction of folk and taxonomy. This "folksonomy" not only allows to classify the possible applications of an internet site but also to surf the internet and to have access to other information via the tags. If lots of anglo-saxon libraries use and experiment these tools, few French libraries or librarians know them though. And yet the use of these tools will probably become very common in the future. It will then have some consequences on the appropriation and the access to information.
