La transition bibliographique : le modèle FRBR David Forfait Sous la direction de Monsieur Philippe Bourdenet

Abstract : The information acquires a new meaning insofar as the catalogs are harmonized with the practices of the web. The "bibliographic transition" (the FRBR model encompasses FRBR, FRAD and FRSAD) is part of a process of demonstrating knowledge. The contents thus disseminated will be more readable by the machines and by the man. Libraries, by improving access to their content, facilitate the search for information by offering broader resources that were hitherto hardly accessible. Overall, the approach is based on a protocol for structuring data. Each resource is allocated a number of interoperable metadata. However, the bibliographic transition is underway. Data.bnf.fr, remains the most representative example of future catalogs in their presentations, fed the Catalog of the National Library of France: it is the FRBRisation of the catalogs. Now, the development of FRBR-LRM directs the work towards the normalization of the cataloging, in particular with RDA, towards the user tasks by rethinking the system of entities-relations.
