Comment définir une politique de valorisation de collections numériques issues de fonds d'archives à l'heure du web de données ? Le cas de la médiathèque du Centre National de la Danse

Abstract : The multimedia library of French National Center for Dance (CND) decided to develop its own digital library. It aims to add value to its digital collections, mainly originated from its archive founds. This work replaces the project into its context by studying the types of founds concerned and their treatment, the present stakes of the collection promotion and the cultural structures concerned. Then the author presents the methodology developed during her internship to start the project: selecting and analyzing portals of digital cultural collections and writing the functional specifications of the CND digital library. Finally the author opens perspectives on how the web of data can reinforce the promotion of the digital collections of the CND. The work starts from the forces of the actual promotion and examines the potential issues to develop the library. The author presents some key elements to understand the web of data concept, and, based on current experimentations concerning cultural data in France, she presents an application example of how web of data can serve the CND promotional strategy.
